North Korea Slams Trump's Easing of Domestic Weapons Export Regulations

(MENAFN) North Korea has voiced strong criticism of U.S. President Donald Trump's recent decision to ease domestic weapons export regulations, alleging that it fosters "expanding war." A local news source highlighted Trump's April 9 executive order, which initiates a review of the rules governing U.S. military equipment exports, aiming to simplify overseas sales of defense products.

The news outlet contended that U.S. arms sales serve as a strategic instrument for advancing Washington's policy of global dominance. It also accused the U.S. of supplying weapons to its allies amid the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.

The agency pointed out that U.S. arms exports have significantly increased in recent years, with a substantial portion of military equipment falling into the hands of "warmongers" in Europe and the Middle East. It further asserted that the U.S. is "encouraging the expansion of war" while feigning efforts to promote peace talks, emphasizing the evident consequences when American weapons are provided to "proxy" forces involved in active conflicts.
