
Rains To Continue Till April 11: Met
Officials said that while the precipitation is expected to be light, isolated weather disturbances could temporarily affect visibility and travel conditions, especially in hilly and mountainous regions.
Director MeT, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad said that there is a possibility of intermittent spells of light rain and snow (higher reaches) for the next two days at many places of Kashmir division & scattered places of Jammu division with possibility of thunderstorm and Gusty winds (30-40 KMPH) at few places.
He also predicted light rain and snow (higher reaches) at scattered places towards morning & improvement thereafter on April 11, adding that from April 12 to April 17, the weather would remain generally dry while from April 18 to 20, fresh spells of rain and snow (higher reaches) is expected during the period.
The forecast has prompted authorities to issue advisories to tourists and travelers, especially those planning visits to popular destinations such as Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam. Local residents living in higher altitudes have also been asked to stay alert, particularly during late evening and night hours when conditions may deteriorate.

The intermittent wet spell, though not severe, comes at a time when Jammu and Kashmir is transitioning from winter to spring, and authorities say it's part of a typical seasonal shift. Nonetheless, people are advised to stay updated with daily weather bulletins to avoid inconvenience.
