Kuwait's Namaa Charity Holds Iftar Meals In Palestine
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
RAMALLAH, March 28 (KUNA) -- Namaa Charity, in collaboration with the Social Reform Society in Kuwait, successfully executed its annual "Iftar" project this year, partnering with various Palestinian associations across the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including the Al-Salama Charity Society and the Wafa Association.
The initiative aimed to provide Iftar meals to thousands of needy families in impoverished areas, such as Jabalia Camp in Gaza and cities like Jenin and Nablus.
Over 162,000 meals and 1,000 food baskets were distributed, benefiting more than 168,000 individuals. Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim, Head of Communications at Namaa Charity, said in a statement on Friday, indicating that charitable kitchens serve fresh meals directly to those observing the fast.
He stressed that the project represents more than meal distribution, offering hope and support to the Palestinian people.
He thanked Kuwaiti institutions, including the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Social Affairs, for their contributions.
Marwan Muhaisen, Director of the Wafa Foundation, praised the collaboration and the project's impact on needy families.
Rami Al-Ashi from the Al-Daraj Zakat Committee reaffirmed Kuwait's ongoing commitment to humanitarian efforts for the Palestinian cause during Ramadan. (end)
