Panama's Dayra Caicedo Found Safe And Sound After 35 Days Missing -

Dayra, a law student at Santa Maria University of Antigua, was deprived of her liberty on February 19, 2025 when she arrived at her home and was intercepted by several hooded subjects. Since then, her whereabouts were unknown until her sudden appearance.

Her father, Cesar Caicedo, expressed his relief and gratitude.“We never lost hope and always kept the faith,” he said in a television interview, highlighting the effort of the Public Department and the National Police in searching for his daughter.

According to the family testimony, Dayra's mother received a call at 6:00 a.m., informing her that her daughter was at a nearby gas station. Immediately, she went to pick her up and transferred her to the Public Prosecution Office, where she is currently part of the investigation process.

The Public Ministry confirmed the arrest of two people linked to the case, while investigations continue with more than 250 seizures and 50 break-ins.

The Unknowns are?
Who kidnapped her and why?
Where was she held during this time?
What motivated her release without an apparent ransom payment?
Authorities assure that they will continue to investigate until the facts are clarified.
