
Katara Holds Line-Up Of Festivities Marking Eid Al Fitr
Doha, Qatar: Katara unveiled Thursday a vibrant blend of cultural, artistic, and heritage festivities to celebrate Eid Al Fitr.
A statement by the cultural village said the family-friendly activities include musical and theatrical performances, folklore and fireworks displays, handicrafts and traditional food market.
The three-day Eid Al Fitr festival is astronomically expected to start Sunday, March 30. The festivities are due from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM during Eid al-Fitr.
Also among the activities will be the Katara Eidiya (giving money and gifts to children and families), performances by the Police Music Band and the Qatari Ardha dance, street art displays, Asian-African folklore performances, and a rababa performance.
In addition to cultural activities, Katara Beach offers an ideal environment for relaxation and sunbathing during Eid. Visitors will be able to enjoy a range of water activities such as swimming, boating, and kayaking.
The beach also features a children's play area and convenient facilities for walking and recreation.
