Together with Lebanese designer Ahmad Ammar, Visciglia owns the haute couture and luxury brand AAVVA Fashion , which has stores in Galeries Lafayette in Dubai, Harvey Nichols in Doha, Qatar, and WE CRE8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The designer is also well-established for his architectural services and caters to top business figures and influential personalities in the region with his fashion brand.
In information sent to ANBA, Visciglia explained that the idea of creating a Ramadan collection stemmed from a tradition among other designers, who develop something special for the occasion every year.“Every night is a different celebration for breaking the fast. People prepare their homes to welcome others. Prayer is also intensified in the temple,” he said through his press office.
Nights and flowersAccording to the designer, during Ramadan, women primarily wear more sophisticated abayas for events and kaftans for festive moments at home. With this in mind, Vincenzo created the Shooting Star collection, inspired by flowers and shooting stars.“The creative path that led me to the final product was the connection between Ramadan, flowers, and the night,” he says.
The collection consists of 17 pieces, mainly capes and grand evening outfits . The fabrics used include crepes and silks, with embroidery and embellishments featured in the designs.“Dark shades like blue, emerald, black, and red were prioritized because they complement the night,” says the designer.
