Spring Warmth On Thursday, Dust And Rain Expected Over Weekend

Amman, March. 27 (Petra) – Temperatures will slightly rise on Thursday, reaching 8-10 C above the seasonal average. The weather will be warm across most regions and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with high-altitude clouds appearing throughout the day.
Winds will be moderate southeasterly, occasionally becoming active and stirring dust, particularly in desert areas.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, Friday will maintain warm spring conditions in most areas and hot weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Clouds at medium and high altitudes will be present, and the country will gradually be affected by the extension of a Khamsin low-pressure system. As a result, dusty conditions will develop across most regions, accompanied by moderate southeasterly winds that may occasionally become active.
By nighttime, a relatively cool and humid air mass will begin to influence the country, leading to a gradual drop in temperatures. Winds will shift to moderate southwesterly, occasionally strengthening. Dusty conditions will persist in many areas, with continued cloud cover at medium and high altitudes. In the late night hours, there is a slight chance of light, localized rain in the far south of the kingdom.
On Saturday, unstable and dusty weather will prevail in most regions, with a significant drop in mercury levels. The weather will be mild in most areas and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. The sky will be partly to mostly cloudy at various altitudes, with intermittent showers expected in different parts of the kingdom.
By the afternoon, rainfall in southeastern Jordan and parts of the northeastern desert may become heavy at times, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. Winds will be moderate northwesterly, occasionally becoming active, especially in the south and east of the country.
Temperatures in East Amman will range between 30C-17C, while West Amman will see highs of 28C-15C. In the northern highlands, temperatures will be around 25C-15C, whereas the Sharah Mountains will record 26C-14C. The Dead Sea will experience warm conditions with temperatures reaching 36C-20C, while Aqaba will be the hottest, ranging between 37C-21C.
