Zelensky: Ukraine-U.S. Talks In Riyadh Are Constructive

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umerov reported that the Ukrainian team at the talks in Saudi Arabia is working constructively, the work continues.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an evening video address , Ukrinform reports.

According to him, this is the second meeting of the Ukrainian and American teams in Saudi Arabia, this time at a more technical level - Ukrainian military , Ukrainian diplomats, representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

“I have just spoken with Rustem Umerov, and he informed me about the meeting and the course of the negotiations. Our team is working absolutely constructively, the conversation is quite useful. The work of the delegations continues,” the Head of State noted.

“But no matter what we talk about with our partners now, we need to push Putin to give a real order to stop the strikes: whoever brought this war must take it away,” Zelensky emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, on Sunday, March 23, the Ukrainian delegation began a meetin with the American team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to discuss some complex technical issues.

The Ukrainian delegation is headed by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and includes State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Karasevych, Deputy Heads of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa and Ihor Zhovkva, and Deputy Energy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk.

According to Rustem Umerov, the teams are currently working on a number of complex technical issues - the Ukrainian delegation includes energy experts, as well as military representatives of the maritime and air components.
