Militants Escape As Forces Bust Hideout In Srinagar's Dachigam

(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- Security forces busted a sophisticated underground hideout in the Pehlipora area of Dachigam forests, but the terrorists managed to escape before the raid, triggering an ongoing search operation, a local news agency quoting a police source said here on Friday.

Reliable sources revealed that intelligence inputs hinted at terrorist movement in the upper reaches of Pehlipora, prompting a joint operation by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Srinagar and the 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), KDC reported.

During the operation, forces uncovered a bunker-type hideout stocked with logistics.“The terrorists had already vacated the site by the time our team arrived,” police sources said, adding that efforts were underway to track and apprehend them.
