Kremlin Upping Pressure On Residents Of Temporarily Occupied Territories

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's requirement for Ukrainian citizens staying in the Russian Federation to formalize their status or leave country by September 10 also applies to residents of temporarily occupied territories.

That's according to the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Ukrinform reports.

"Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a decree obliging Ukrainian citizens who are 'illegally staying in the Russian Federation' to either leave by September 10 or legalize their status. The requirement also applies to temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. In addition, Ukrainian citizens were required to provide certificates proving they are HIV-negative and that they do not use drugs," the statement says.

As noted, these innovations aim at increasing pressure on residents of occupied territories. The enemy is trying to make it impossible for any manifestations of disloyalty to the Kremlin in the temporarily occupied areas by establishing strict controls over people, their activities, and movement. In addition, Putin's decree serves as yet another tool for the forced imposition of passports and Russification of Ukrainians, the CCD emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russians launched the "Victory Train" museum, a 10-car train, with the goal of militarizing population.
