Top EU Diplomat Welcomes Trumpآ's Announcement To Help Ukraine Get More Air Defence

BRUSSELS, March 20 (KUNA) -- EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas welcomed on Thursday US President Donald Trump's announcement to help Kyiv in obtaining additional air defence systems.
The top EU diplomat told reporters before the start of the EU Council summit, "I strongly welcome President Trumpآ's announcement that the US is trying to find additional air defences for Ukraine."
Kallas added, "This is extremely important," pointing out that the EU will ask member states to respond favourably Ukraineآ's request for two million shells, worth five billion euros (5.4 billion dollars).
EU leaders are discussing today in Brussels the Russian-Ukrainian war and how to strengthen military cooperation. (end)
