Defense Min. Affirms Keenness By Political Leadership In Supporting Armed Forces

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 19 (KUNA) -- Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah affirmed on Wednesday the political leadership's commitment to supporting the armed forces, raising their efficiency, and enhancing their readiness in facing various challenges.
The remarks were made in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, following a tour by Sheikh Abdullah to the Mohammed Al-Ahmad Naval Base in the Julai'a area.
Sheikh Abdullah also shared an iftar meal with working in the base.
He was accompanied by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Mishal Mubarak Al-Sabah and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Major General Pilot Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The Ministry added that Sheikh Abdullah began the visit by listening to a briefing on the nature of the assigned duties, the workflow mechanism, and the readiness of the naval forces.
The minister also was briefed during a field tour of several units and facilities of the naval force. (end)
