PM Announces Major Development Projects In Madaba Condemns Israel's Gaza Offensive (Addition To Our Story)

During a recent visit to Madaba, the Hassan announced the construction of a new government hospital and the introduction of a rapid bus route between Madaba and Amman.
The initiative is part of a broader development vision for Madaba, outlined by several ministers for the current year and the years ahead.
Healthcare Initiatives
Minister of health Firas Hawari detailed two key ongoing projects: the construction of the Western (Azaydeh) Health Centre, expected to cost JOD1 million with completion slated for 2027, and the first Madaba camp health centre, which began construction last year and is set to be completed next year.
Hawari announced four upcoming projects, including a feasibility study for the new Madaba Hospital building projected for 2026-2030, at an estimated cost of JOD60 million.
Additionally, future plans include expanding the Malih Comprehensive Health Centre, with maintenance work on the Ma'in and Al-Arish Health Centres and the procurement of equipment for Al-Nadim Hospital and Princess Salma Hospital scheduled for this year.
Education Developments
Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah reported plans to establish three new schools in Madaba, valued at JOD2.68 million and maintenance projects for 16 existing schools this year.
Future projects will include constructing the Dhiban Vocational School for Boys, aligning with the new BTEC vocational education system, and building six more schools across the governorate, totaling JOD9 million, all expected to be completed by 2027.
Local Administration Projects
Minister of Local Administration Walid Masri highlighted ongoing projects valued at over JOD10 million aimed at enhancing service continuity for the governorate's municipalities.
Future initiatives will cost around JOD29 million, focusing on various sectors such as local administration and tourism, with completion anticipated by 2028.

Minister of Public Works and Housing Maher Abu Alsamen provided an update on projects, including rehabilitating the Madaba/Umm Al-Mad road and improving traffic safety across the region.
