Parade of the White Collar parade pictured above – A tribute to Panama culture was part of Saturday March 15 2025. The streets of David were decorated with the White Skirt Parade in David Chiriquí on Saturday. The white skirt is more than just a piece of clothing; it's a symbol rooted in the identity of the Panamanian people. For the fifth consecutive year, the White Skirt Parade was held in the city of David, seeking to enhance not only the culture but also the civic and moral values of this region of the country. Nearly 3,000 people dressed in white skirts and traditional costumes from this region paraded through the streets of David, ending at the grounds of the San José International Fair. A large crowd lined the main streets of David, including the fairgrounds, to watch the parade, which included the participation of folklore groups and street bands. Carmen Trujillo of the organizing committee stated that this is a special holiday that brings families together around these traditions and is held as part of the celebration of Saint Joseph of David, patron saint of the family.
