Kuwaiti-Funded Aid Delivered To The Needy In Yemen

ADEN, March (KUNA) -- Two Kuwaiti associations on Thursday distributed 562 food parcels to displaced families in the Yemeni regions of Maarib and Hadramut as part of the 10-year "Kuwait on your side" humanitarian campaign.
The YemenI society, "alwosool al-ensani," said in a statement that it had delivered 321 food packages to the relocated families in Maarib, noting that the aid had been funded by the Kuwaiti sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity.
The society also reported distributing 241 food parcels in Al-Mukalla -- with funding by the Kuwaiti society "balad alkhair."
Abdulwasea Alwaseie, the secretary general of "alwosool," said in a statement the Kuwaiti aid was crucial to back up the impoverished families amid the current hard living conditions in the nation. (end)
