Kuwaiti, Chinese Ministers Discuss Cooperation In Social Protection

NEW YORK, March 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Social Affairs, Family Affairs and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah praised the depth of friendly relations with china in the areas of social protection and family development.
Cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of China kept growing over the past 55 years, she noted on Wednesday during her meeting with Huang Xiaowei - a Chinese Minister and Vice Chairperson of the National Working Committee on Children and Women (NWCCW) of the State Council.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) in New York, discussed ways of empowering women and promoting the social services being provided to families.
Dr. Al-Huwailah briefed Huang on Kuwait's social policies aiming to support women and children, promote family stability, achieve social justice and enhance coherence of the society.
Both sides expressed desire to promote cooperation and exchange experiences in the area of social protection, women empowerment and vocational training. (end)
