Jordan Welcomes Agreement On Integrating Syrian Democratic Forces Into State Institutions

Amman, March 11 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed an agreement announced late Monday on integrating the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the institutions of the Syrian Arab Republic.
The ministry described the move as a significant step toward rebuilding Syria based on principles that uphold its unity, sovereignty, and security while ensuring the rights of all Syrians.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah reaffirmed Jordan's support for Syria and its commitment to assisting the Syrian people in overcoming the transitional phase.
He emphasized that Jordan views this stage as a pivotal opportunity for restoring stability and sovereignty through an inclusive Syrian-led process that engages all societal components, preserves their rights, and protects them from instability and conflict.
The ministry reiterated Jordan's position on the importance of a political resolution to the Syrian crisis that ensures national unity, eliminates terrorism, and lays the foundation for long-term stability in the region.
