War Update: Battles Ongoing On Six Fronts, Heavy Fighting In Kursk Region

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Since the beginning of the day, 60 combat clashes have occurred between Ukraine's Defense Forces and the Russian troops, with fighting ongoing in six frontline sectors. The heaviest battles are taking place in Kursk region.

The General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine posted this February 11, 16:00 update on facebook , according to Ukrinform.

The Ukrainian forces are holding the line, preventing Russian troops from advancing deeper into Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Russian forces continue to shell Ukrainian settlements. Today, Popivka, Ponomarenky, Riasne, and Pokrovka in Sumy region, as well as Klynova-Novoselivka in Kharkiv region were under mortars and artillery fire. Airstrikes were carried out in Hremiachka in Chernihiv region.

In the Kharkiv sector , the Russian forces launched airstrikes at Zolochiv and Veterynarne.

In the Kupiansk sector , the Russian troops attacked the Ukrainian positions four times near Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, and Zahryzove, with one battle still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector , four attacks took place near Novoserhiivka, Zelenyi Hai, Novoliubivka, and Yampolivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector , the Ukrainian defenders are repelling four Russian assault operations near Vasiukivka, Hryhorivka, and Chasiv Yar. Russians also targeted Druzhkivka with a guided bomb.

In the Toretsk sector , the Ukrainian troops repelled six Russian attacks, with four battles still ongoing near Toretsk, Dyliivka, and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector , the Russian forces made 19 attempts to push the Ukrainian Defense Forces from their positions in the areas of Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, Nadiivka, Oleksiivka, Dachne, and Shevchenko. The Ukrainian defenders are holding their ground, having already repelled 17 attacks. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka sector , Russians attempted five assaults near Kostiantynopil, with one battle still raging.

In the Huliaipole sector , two combat engagements occurred near Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector , the Russian forces dropped seven guided bombs near Omelnyk.

In the Prydniprovske sector , the Russian troops carried out two airstrikes on Prydniprovske.

In the Kursk sector , 12 combat clashes occurred, with eight still ongoing. Russians also launched 13 guided bomb strikes in this sector.

No significant changes have been recorded in other frontline sectors.
