Raphael Lachkar Steps Down As ASEAN COO At Vero

(MENAFN- PRovoke) ASEAN - Raphael Lachkar, chief operating officer, of ASEAN, at Vero, will be stepping down from the role after eight years with the company, he told PRovoke media exclusively.

Initially hired in Myanmar in 2017 to support Vero's early business while leading communications for Rocket Internet ventures, Lachkar later relocated to Vietnam to relaunch Vero's operations there, and later took on the chief operating officer role to support the firm's regional growth.

"As an organization, Vero thrives on collaboration, its entrepreneurial culture encourages bold bets, I was fortunate to be trusted with several of them while working alongside brilliant and ambitious colleagues to bring them to life,” said Lachkar.

Among other projects, Lachkar helped integrate data, insights, and artificial intelligence into the firm's processes and services leading to significant partnerships with global technology leaders late last year. Lachkar also participated in the firm's positioning in sustainability communications.

"I'm proud of the people and clients who chose to join us over the years. The Vero team includes some of Southeast Asia's brightest minds. Working alongside them taught me so much, and I cherish the friendships I formed along the way,” said Lachkar.

“Lachkar has been a fantastic partner at Vero, bringing a unique energy and a spirit of innovation. One of the most consequential decisions during his time with us was Vero's commitment to the Clean Creative pledge - a move that Lachkar championed and that I know resonates with many talented communications professionals across Southeast Asia and remains an important part of our culture,” said Brian Griffin, CEO at Vero.

“Numerous team members have told me that a major motivation to join Vero was because of this pledge, and we recognize the value of the Clean Creative status that Lachkar helped to make a reality,” he added.

Lachkar went on to say that now, next to protecting time for his family, he will advise agency executives and brand teams across Europe and Asia on change management and communications strategy as they navigate AI's transformative impact on their businesses.“It's been challenging and exciting - and I am looking forward to more,” he said.
