Kuwait's MOE Introduces AI In 10Th Grade Curriculum

KUWAIT, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- Minister of Education, Jalal Sayed Abdulmuhsin Al-Tabtabei, to keep up with modern technological developments, announced on Tuesday the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Computer curriculum for 10th grade students.
In a statement, the Acting General Technical Supervisor of Computers at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education, Mona Salem Awad, highlighted the importance of this decision.
The announcement came during an introductory meeting organized by the department via the Teams platform, attended by 288 senior computer science supervisors, department heads, and teachers.
She emphasized the significance of introducing AI to students, stating that this move aims to provide 10th grade students with the necessary knowledge and tools to understand AI, which is significant.
She explained that the inclusion of AI in the curriculum aligns with rapid technological advancements and addresses the students need to understand it.
This initiative is expected to help prepare students for a job market increasingly dependent on technology while also enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
She noted that the Ministry is dedicated to developing an interactive learning environment that supports the use of modern technology across all educational stages,
