QPNC Marks National Sports Day


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) On the occasion of the National Sports Day, the Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center (QPNC) of the Ministry of Culture, on Monday opened the Sports Stamps Exhibition, which will continue through Feb. 28 at the center's premises in Al Sadd.
The exhibition features 11 glass frames for sports stamps from various countries around the world, each frame contains 16 stamp panels.
In the same context, the QPNC organizes, tomorrow, in cooperation with the Arab Countries Stamp Museum at the Cultural Village (Katara), an exhibition of various sports stamps in addition to some sports memorabilia of the players in Building 22 in Katara, and it will continue until February 20.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 exhibition will continue at the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al-Thani Museum and will run through Feb. 28, showcasing a collection of stamps of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with some stamps issued in Uruguay in 1930.
The exhibition documents what was accomplished in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 through the stamps that were issued in addition to medals and postal envelopes.
