Kuwaiti Doctor Wins ISN Mideast Regional Presidency

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ministry of health announced Sunday that Dr. Turki Al-Otaibi was elected as president of the Middle East Regional Board at the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) on the sidelines of ISN Word congress held in India.
A ministry statement said Dr. Al-Otaibi is the first Kuwaiti ever to elected to this position since ISN's establishment, reflecting the professional excellence of the Kuwaiti medical talent on international level.
Dr. Al-Otaibi holds an impressive record of accomplishments, serving as President of the Arab Society of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation, Chief of the Nephrology and Kidney Transplant Department at Kuwaiti Center for Nephrology and Kidney Transplant and president of the Kuwaiti Organ Transplant Society.
He delivered several scientific lectures at leading global medical institutions, solidifying his reputation as one of the foremost experts in nephrology and kidney transplantation both regionally and globally, it added.
This highlighted Kuwait's significant role in nephrology and kidney transplantation, attributing it to the country's distinguished medical professionals and pioneering healthcare institutions. (end)
