NITI Aayog Conclave Discusses Economic Growth, Security, And Global Partnerships


(MENAFN- KNN India) New Delhi, Feb 7 (KNN) NITI Aayog convened a high-level conclave titled 'Towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Strengthening Economy, National Security, Global Partnerships, and Law' at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi on February 6, 2025.

The event brought together key government officials, including NITI Aayog's Vice Chairman, Members, and CEO, alongside the Chief Economic Advisor and Defence Secretary, to chart India's development course for the next two decades.

The conclave's first major panel focused on Economic Growth and Global Competitiveness, where experts outlined critical pathways to establish India as a global economic leader by 2047.

Participants emphasised the necessity of regulatory reforms and increased private sector investment in research and development.

The discussion highlighted how sovereign credit ratings, energy security, and access to critical raw materials would underpin India's economic resilience, while education and infrastructure development would be crucial in harnessing the nation's demographic dividend.

In the Strategic Partnerships for Development session, discussions centred on India's diplomatic approach to building alliances across the Global South and North.

Experts praised India's economic resilience in navigating global trade disruptions and highlighted the country's leadership in renewable energy initiatives.

The session emphasised how digital public infrastructure could strengthen international partnerships, with legal reforms identified as essential for improving the investment climate.

The Supply Chain Resilience and National Defence panel addressed crucial security considerations, examining the distinction between civilian 'Just in Time' and military 'Just in Case' logistics models.

Experts proposed reforms to procurement procedures and organisational structures while emphasising cybersecurity's role in maintaining supply chain integrity.

The discussion highlighted how public-private partnerships could strengthen national defence capabilities and enhance logistical efficiency.

The comprehensive discussions at the conclave reinforced India's commitment to achieving Prime Minister's vision of 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) by 2047, emphasising sustainable growth, strategic partnerships, and robust national security frameworks as key pillars of this transformation.
