Jordanians Take To Street In Solidarity Against Displacement Of Palestinians
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, Feb. 7 (Petra)-- Protests and marches held in the capital Amman on Friday under the slogan "All of us in Jordan against displacement" reflected popular, partisan, and tribal actions and their opposition to requests to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Jordan and Egypt.
When his majesty King Abdullah II took up his constitutional powers on February 7, 1999, Jordanians took delight in the Allegiance and Loyalty Day, which was commemorated on the same day as these marches. The Jordanian state, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, has taken strong stances in favor of Palestine and against the eviction of Palestinians, and the popular bloc is commemorating this day.
These marches and protests are held in support of Jordan's stances against the idea of uprooting Palestinians from their country and outside of their borders, which are headed by His Majesty King Abdullah II.
The Jordanian state's courageous actions and efforts to support the Palestinian brothers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, whether on a political, economic, or humanitarian level, were commended by marchers and protesters.
They emphasized how crucial these initiatives are to bolstering the Palestinian people's resilience in the face of the significant obstacles brought on by Israeli assault. In an action that demonstrates Jordan's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, the Jordanian government has worked to provide food, medical care, and relief aid to the people of Gaza since the first day of the aggression.
In order to counter attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause at the expense of establishing an independent Palestinian state, which is in direct opposition to Jordan's supreme interests and a violation of its sovereignty, the participants demanded that support for Jordan's positions be strengthened under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
At a time when the region is facing serious challenges that call for greater unity and solidarity to protect just rights and principles, Jordanians' solidarity movement today is a strong affirmation of national unity on national issues and a rejection of any attempts to undermine the Jordanian and Palestinian national identities.
