German Leader Criticizes Trump's Proposal To Displace Gazans

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BERLIN, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Friday his government was totally against US President Donald Trump's proposal to displace the Palestinians from Gaza Strip to Egypt or any other country.
All efforts must be made to prevent escalation of the conflict in the Middle East and ensure coexistence between an independent State of Palestine alongside Israel, the Chancellor said at election campaign of his Social Democratic Party in Ludwigsburg city.
The German leader made the comments in response to recent statement by trump that the United State plans to take hold of Gaza Strip and relocate its residents to other Arab countries. (end)
