49Th Hassan II Trophy And 28Th Lalla Meryem Cup Officially Launched In Morocco

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) The 49th edition of the Hassan II Trophy and the 28th Lalla Meryem Cup were officially launched with a grand press conference, setting the stage for one of the most prestigious golfing events in Morocco.

The event was attended by Maitre Zine and Hassan El Mansouri, vice-presidents of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation (RMGF) and the Hassan II Trophy Association, who formally announced the opening of the competitions.

Miller Brady, President of the PGA Tour Champions, highlighted the strong relationship between the tour and Morocco, emphasizing that the Hassan II Trophy holds a special place among senior golf legends. Diane Barnard, Operations Director of the Ladies European Tour (LET), noted the tournament's unique format, which brings together top male golfers from the PGA Tour Champions and leading female players from the LET at a single venue—an exceptional setup in the international golf calendar.

Last year's champions, Ricardo Gonzalez of Argentina, winner of the Hassan II Trophy, and Bronte Law of England, the Lalla Meryem Cup titleholder, expressed their excitement about returning to the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. Both golfers shared their determination to defend their titles and relive the unique atmosphere of the iconic Moroccan course.

With a history of attracting elite golfers from around the world, the tournaments continue to strengthen Morocco's status as a premier destination for international golf.
