Turkiye Rejects Eviction Of Palestinians From Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Feb 5 (KUNA) -- Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Wednesday emphasized Ankara's firm opposition to efforts aimed at evicting the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip.
He highlighted that the Palestinian issue originated from the expulsion of Palestinians from their lands and the subsequent settlement of Israelis in those areas.
Fidan also expressed concerns that unilateral action could reignite conflicts in the future, particularly noting that Egypt and Jordan, which share borders with the Israeli Occupation and Palestine, are significantly affected by such proposals. Turkiye is committed to providing diplomatic support to both countries.
He concluded by stating that there is widespread agreement within the international community, especially among Islamic nations, on the importance of a two-state solution and the establishment of a State of Palestine within the 1967 borders.
However, he pointed out that US President Donald Trump has yet to make any commitments regarding this solution. (end)
