UN Underlines Significance Of Human Rights Council, UNRWA

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW YORK, Feb 5 (KUNA) -- The United Nations underlined the importance of the Human Rights Council, reaffirming support to UNRWA and the necessary services it provides to millions.
Making these remarks was UN spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, in a press conference held Tuesday in response to United States President Donald trump signing of executive orders withdrawing from the Human Rights Council and halting future funding to UNRWA.
Dujarric stated that this will not change their belief in the work of the human rights body, and affirmed the organizations' commitment to provide necessary support to Palestinians. (end)
