Trump Says Meetings, Talks Scheduled With Ukraine, Russia

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The U.S. president says his administration has scheduled meetings and tentative discussions with both the Ukrainian and Russian sides regarding the end of the war.

Donald trump told reporters about this after arriving at Andrews Air Force Base near the U.S. capital, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Recalling a“busy weekend” for the administration when the topic of Israel, Ukraine, and Russia were on the table, the U.S. president said his team had meetings and negotiations scheduled with various parties, including Ukraine and Russia.

Trump provided no details in this regard while noted that everything was going in a positive direction at the moment, expressing belief that the current discussions were going quite well,.

As Ukrinform reported, Volodymyr Zelensky said a diplomatic end to the war requires an effective plan for a just peace and a strong position of Ukraine at the negotiating table.
