Egypt, Djibouti Seek To Restore Security In Bab Al-Mandeb Strait


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Egypt and Djibouti underlined on Sunday the significance of working together to restore security at Bab Al-Mandeb Strait and normal navigation in the Red Sea.
This came during a meeting between Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi and visiting Djibouti Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and government Spokesman Mahmoud Youssouf, Presidential Spokesman Mohammad Al-Shennawi said in a press statement.
They discussed the situation in the Horn of Africa, ongoing efforts to restore security and stability there and the latest developments in Somalia, with the Egyptian president reiterating efforts to support Somalia's unity, stability and territorial integrity, the spokesman added.
They also explored means of cooperation between Egypt and Djibouti in all fields to serve both sides' joint interests. (end)
