Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that it will host conference aimed at supporting reconstruction efforts in Palestine
(MENAFN) The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that it will host a conference aimed at supporting reconstruction efforts in Palestine. The conference, coordinated with Japan, will be the fourth session of the East Asian Cooperation Conference for the Development of Palestine (CEAPAD), which will be held in Malaysia this year. The ministry highlighted that this initiative underscores Malaysia’s proactive stance in securing international support and strengthening cooperation to ensure the long-term success and impact of reconstruction efforts in Palestine. It also aligns with recent statements by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, emphasizing the urgent need for accelerated reconstruction in Palestine.
Malaysia remains committed to working closely with Japan within the framework of CEAPAD in response to the Palestinian call for aid. As part of this initiative, Malaysia aims to contribute to rebuilding essential infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, and mosques, reflecting the collective dedication of Malaysia’s government, private sector, and citizens. The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted its plans to work with Japan and CEAPAD participants in securing the necessary commitments for the successful redevelopment of Gaza. Prior to the conference, a series of coordination meetings will be held to ensure that aid is delivered effectively and sustainably to support long-term development.
The ministry reaffirmed its unwavering support for Palestine and its commitment to collaborating with regional and international partners to ensure that the Fourth CEAPAD Conference results in tangible actions.
