With the Big Game now in full view, DeFrances' version is rapidly climbing the charts, having risen to number 2, eclipsing Frank Sinatra's "My Way." It is expected that the record will hit the top spot before next Sunday. DeFrances' version, initially released in February 2023, first rose to #1 on the iTunes and Amazon music charts after former First Lady Jill Biden shared it on Instagram. The song subsequently went viral and remained atop the charts for nearly a week until the Eagles narrow loss against the Chiefs.

Since its release, DeFrances' version has become a bona fide fan favorite, with Eagles devotees downloading, streaming and creating videos with the song at record pace. DeFrances, who was discovered by Nancy Sinatra at age 14 has been performing for nearly 20 years. During his senior year at Downingtown East High School his pipes earned him 1st place in the senior men's talent competition, Mr. East. After a failed American Idol audition, he gave sold out performances at Birdland Jazz Club and Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. In 2013 he moved to Los Angeles to record singles at Capitol Records. While living out west DeFrances secured contracts at The Beverly Hills Hotel and Herb Alpert's Vibrato Jazz Club. Residing in Malibu, he set the attendance record for his 2015 performance at the Malibu Summer Concert Series. In 2016, comedian Rich Little presented DeFrances with his very first Las Vegas show in which he co-headlined.

Just before the pandemic, DeFrances returned east. In 2021, he recorded Ave Maria with the Philadelphia Boys Choir and Wanamaker organ. In 2022 he recorded a song for the Phillies. Even though DeFrances never played football, the sport isn't new to his family. His brother Kevin was an ambidextrous quarterback. His cousins, Christian and Brett Brumbaugh, set the all time Pennsylvania state records for passing touchdowns in a single season and career passing yards respectively. DeFrances considers the song to be his contribution to the sport.
