(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 28. Kazakhstan is already in the second year of new, rather strict budget rules, which do not work, so the country faces the task of careful development of new Budget and Tax Codes and their adoption in a short time, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev said at an enlarged meeting of the government, Trend reports.

“The measures proposed by the Government of Kazakhstan can replenish the budget without additional transfers from the National Fund. However, we need an accurate calculation and consideration of all related factors,” the President noted.

He also emphasized that rational and fair distribution of public funds between budgets of all levels, down to rural districts, is of great importance.

“All existing disproportions should be taken into account in calculating general transfers. The republican budget should primarily finance projects designed to reduce the lag of a particular region from the national level,” Tokayev added.

To note, an extended meeting of the government, chaired by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev, summarized the results of the socio-economic development of the country in 2024 and outlined the main objectives for the coming years.
