Leader of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham reassures foreign countries that they have no reason to fear Syria

(MENAFN) Abu Mohammed Al-Julani, the leader of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), reassured foreign countries that they have no reason to fear Syria following the ousting of President Bashar al-Assad. In an interview with the British news outlet "Sky News," he stated that "their fears are unnecessary" and emphasized that the true threat had been the Assad regime, along with Iranian militias and Hezbollah, which he accused of committing massacres in the country.

Al-Julani argued that Syria is now moving toward development, reconstruction, and stability, and that the focus should be on rebuilding the nation. He added, "The country is not ready for another war" as Syrians have endured years of conflict and are exhausted by the ongoing violence.

He also stated that the real source of concern had been the regime and its allies, but with their removal, Syria can begin a new chapter focused on peace and rebuilding.
