Erdogan discusses situations in Syria with Russian Leader

(MENAFN) ‘Syria should not become a source of greater instability in the region’, Turkish Ledaer Recep Tayyip Erdogan informed his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin through a phone call on Tuesday, Turkey’s Communications Directorate noted in a statement.
Throughout the call, the presidents talked about mutual bonds, local and international challenges and recent advances in Syria, where anti-regime forces in a sudden attacking have taken control over Aleppo and are seeking other areas.
Turkey is going to remain its dedication to support Syria in battling against PKK terror group, its expansions who are attempting to make use of the latest advances in Syria, Erdogan stated.
Emphasizing that citizens should not be injured in Syria, he stated that the capital of Turkey is putting significant efforts to return stability in the nearing nation, where a civil conflict lasts since 2011.
The Turkish Leader stated that Turkey supports Syria's territorial integrity and puts efforts for a just and permanent solution. He also noted that it is essential to provide more space for diplomacy in the country and that the Syrian regime should be involved in a political settlement process.
