Kazakhstan, North Macedonia Consider Easing Visa Rules


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 13. Kazakhstan and North Macedonia pay special attention to the prospects of deepening the process of simplifying the visa Regime for the citizens of both countries, Trend reports.

On the margins of the conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held a meeting with the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of North Macedonia as a key partner for Kazakhstan in Europe and expressed his commitment to strengthening cooperation in priority areas.

Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, in turn, thanked the President of Kazakhstan for his contribution to bilateral relations and highlighted the potential for further strengthening cooperation. She also highly appreciated Kazakhstan's role as a middle power on the international stage.

The two leaders paid special attention to the prospects of deepening cooperation in trade, economic, and investment spheres, and they agreed to enhance contacts between the business communities of Kazakhstan and North Macedonia.

At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova to visit Kazakhstan.

On November 11, the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29) kicked off in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku. The event will run until November 22. A total of 67,000 people have registered to participate in COP29.
