Uzbekistan, JBIC Sign Three-Year Cooperation Program
The signing took place during a meeting between the Uzbek Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov and the JBIC Chairman Tadashi Maeda.
Kudratov also met with representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
At the meeting, the parties approved a program for developing new projects in areas such as the training of engineering personnel, the creation of an industrial technopark, and the launch of the "One Territory - One Product" program to teach entrepreneurship skills to the population.
To note, on October 29-31 of this year, Kudratov held a series of meetings and negotiations in Tokyo with officials, heads of financial institutions, and major companies from Japan.
During the meetings, the parties discussed a number of pressing issues related to Uzbek-Japanese trade, economic, and financial-technical cooperation and developed concrete steps to further increase the volume of industrial cooperation and trade across various sectors of the economy.
Overall, the visit highlighted the high level of trust from Japanese government and business circles in the investment climate created in Uzbekistan, as well as their readiness to actively participate in the implementation of investment projects and establish direct cooperation with the country's entrepreneurs.
