BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 14. Renovation and
improvement works at the "Khagani" Garden and adjacent areas in the
Sabail district of Baku have been concluded, Trend reports.
The "Khagani" Garden has been expanded with the roads
surrounding Rasul Rza, Gogol and Khagani streets closed and
converted into pedestrian-only areas. Additionally, the
improvements in the park spanning a total of 1.4 hectares included
expanded green area, upgraded lighting, installation of modern
benches, creation of children's playground, and renovation and
improvement works carried out on the adjacent residential
buildings.
The garden is one of the recreational areas revitalized in
accordance with the President's directives for the capital
renovation and reconstruction of parks and alleys in Baku. In a
short period, this centrally located garden has been transformed
into a wonderful spot for citizens to relax.
The reopening of the garden during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix of
Formula 1 and ahead of the upcoming 29th session of the Conference
of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate
Change in Baku will contribute significantly to providing a
pleasant environment for tourists visiting the city.
Previously, the area around the garden was noisy, but now all
necessary work has been completed to ensure a comfortable space for
relaxation and leisure activities for the city's residents.
