Uzbekistan, Swiss Stadler Rail Moot Opportunities Of Product Localization

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 14. Uzbekistan and Stadler Rail have discussed possibilities of localization of products in the country, Trend reports.

According to the information, it became known during the meeting between Uzbek Transport Minister Ilhom Mahkamov and chairperson of Stadler Rail for CIS countries Alexander Luft.

The parties discussed potential areas of cooperation, including the purchase of electric trains and training of Uzbek specialists in service maintenance during the meeting.

In the course of negotiations, Stadler representatives made a presentation on the company's experience in the construction and maintenance of modifications of passenger cars of high comfort in various segments.

Following the negotiations, the sides reached an agreement on a detailed study of the company's potential capabilities following the needs of Uzbekistan's passenger railroad network and the company's pricing policy for each segment of Stadler CIS production and service.

To note, Stadler Rail, a Swiss manufacturer of railway equipment, is actively cooperating with Uzbekistan in the field of modernization of railway transport. The main objective of the cooperation is to improve the quality of railway transportation in the country as well as to introduce innovative solutions in the railway infrastructure.
