Japanese Muroosystems Invests In Construction Of Renewables Facilities In Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 10. The Japanese
company MurooSystems Corporation will invest up to $100 million in
projects to build small hydroelectric power plants and a solar
power plant in Kyrgyzstan, the statement of Kyrgyzstan's Energy
Ministry said, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, during the working trip of Energy
Minister Taalaibek Ibrayev to Japan, an investment agreement was
signed between the Ministry of energy of Kyrgyzstan and
MurooSystems Corporation on the implementation of the project for
the construction of two small hydropower plants on the Chon-Kemin
River with a total capacity of 24–25 MW.
The memorandum was also signed on the implementation of an
investment project for the construction of a photovoltaic solar
plant with a capacity of up to 100 MW in the Batken region of
Kyrgyzstan.
The purpose of the memorandum is the intention of the investor
to build a solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of up to 100
MW at its own expense or with the attraction of credit financing.
The Japanese company plans to invest up to $100 million in these
projects.
Furthermore, Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibrayev together with
representatives of MurooSystems Corporation visited a small HPP in
Japan, where he familiarized himself with the technology of
concrete dam construction, materials used, and construction
methods. One of the purposes of Minister Ibrayev's trip was to plan
the construction of a concrete dam for the Kambarata-1 HPP.
