(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Mafraq, July 24 (Petra) - The Mafraq Governorate Council has allocated JD100,000 to drill an artesian well in the al-Hamra area, aiming to improve the water supply for local citizens.
Council member Ibrahim Jabour announced on Wednesday that the allocation is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the water situation in the governorate. A meeting with officials from the Ministry of Water and Irrigation led to an agreement to undertake the project, with funding provided by the Provincial Council's budget. The Ministry of Water's staff will execute the project.
Jabour stated that the project is expected to be completed within a month and a half. Once finished, the well will serve as a significant water source for residents in the region, particularly amid rising water demand.
