
Corruption-Accused Pro-Armenian Senator Bob Menendez Resigns
According to the media reports, he will leave the Senate on August 20.
A recent New York jury has found Menendez guilty on all 16 counts of bribery.
The sentence against Menendez will be announced on October 29. The pro-Armenian senator faces imprisonment.
The charges against Menendez and his wife Nadine Arslanian include conspiracy to obstruct justice, acting as a foreign agent while being a government official, bribery, extortion, and wire fraud.
Authorities claim that the Menendezes took bribes from businessmen in the form of cash, gold bars, and expensive cars, promising them help and influence in foreign affairs.
