Jordan, Georgia Talk Cultural Cooperation

Amman, July 22 (Petra) -- Minister of Culture Haifa Najjar and Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Sports Thea Tsulukiani Monday discussed prospects of enhancing cultural relations between the two countries.
Najjar said during a meeting at the Royal Cultural Center is part of an invitation to the Georgian minister to attend the opening ceremony of the 38th Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts on Wednesday at the Northern Theater of the ancient city, which this year coincides with the Kingdom's celebrations of His Majesty King Abdullah's silver jubilee.
Najjar told the meeting, which was attended by Georgian Ambassador Archil Dzuliashvili and Deputy Minister Nikoloz Aznaurashvili, that Palestine is at the heart of the Jerash Festival's various programs, adding that the Georgian Minister shares "our position" on the genocide against the Palestinian people.
For her part, the Georgian Minister said her visit aims to promote cultural ties and friendship with Jordan and attend the opening of the Jerash Festival.
