Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced the new lists of accredited universities for self-funded study. The number of universities certified for self-funded study reached 763, including 16 universities in Arab countries.

The new lists have witnessed a significant expansion in Arab universities, considering their academic rankings according to the ministry's approved academic ranking sites.

The number of Arab universities reached 16, distributed across 6 countries: the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Lebanese Republic, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Republic of Tunisia, and the Republic of Iraq.

The new lists were meticulously prepared, distinguishing universities according to academic tracks. This classification system facilitates access to the most suitable universities for study by specialization, providing students with a clear path to their educational goals.

The lists included five tracks: engineering and technology, medicine and biological sciences, natural sciences, law, accounting, education, and social and humanitarian sciences and management.

Jaber Al Jaber, Director of the Certification Equivalence Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, stated that the lists were prepared considering university classification standards and meeting the needs of all student groups wishing to complete university studies at their own expense.

Al Jaber emphasized that all students must adhere to the lists according to the tracks and obtain prior approval to study abroad. This responsible approach is crucial before registering at universities and starting studies, in accordance with the Cabinet's decisions to ensure the equivalence of university degrees after graduation.
