(MENAFN) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly denounced the recent shooting incident near a mosque in Oman's Wadi Al Kabir region, expressing deep solidarity with Oman and endorsing all measures taken by the Sultanate to safeguard its security and stability. In an official statement, the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the "criminal acts" that resulted in the tragic loss of life and injuries, reiterating its steadfast rejection of violence in all its forms, which it views as a threat to international law and a peril to the lives of residents.

The Ministry conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Oman and its people, as well as to the families and friends of the victims affected by this senseless crime. It also extended wishes for a swift recovery to all those injured in the incident. Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE, emphasized through a message on social media platform "X" that the Gulf region has traditionally stood as a beacon of tolerance and moderation, firmly rejecting any actions that could destabilize the security and stability of the Gulf states.

Dr. Gargash underscored the unity of security interests among Gulf nations, asserting a collective stance against extremism and fanaticism. He expressed unwavering solidarity with Oman during this challenging time, praying for the Sultanate's enduring security and prosperity. The shooting incident in Wadi Al Kabir resulted in the tragic loss of five lives and the heroic sacrifice of an Omani policeman. Oman's Royal Oman Police, along with military and security services, swiftly responded to the incident, ensuring necessary procedures were carried out to address the situation.
