Amman, July 16 (Petra) -- Over the past five days, 78 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid have successfully crossed from Jordan to Gaza. These shipments included ready-to-eat meals, bottled water, food parcels, mattresses, and hygiene supplies, providing essential relief to the beleaguered residents of Gaza.
The aid convoy was organized by the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab army and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP). This initiative received support from Al-Imdad Association, UNICEF, the Jordanian Clothing Traders Association, the French government, Yad Al Aoun, Al-Ghuraa Charity Association, Life Organization, and Qatar Charity.
Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, highlighted in a statement on Tuesday the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the challenges posed by restrictions on aid deliveries. He stressed the urgent need for increased efforts and resources to ensure that aid reaches those in need.
"Jordan is doing everything possible to open more crossings and increase the volume of humanitarian supplies to alleviate the suffering caused by the conflict in Gaza," Shibli said. He also noted that, to date, a total of 2,641 trucks and 53 planes carrying aid have entered Gaza through Al-Arish.
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization continues to accept cash donations to support its ongoing efforts. Donations can be made through its bank account at Union Bank (account number JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06), via electronic wallets, using "CliQ" with the code JHCOGAZA, or through the "eFAWATEERcom" service and the organization's website at
