Issawi Inaugurates Royal Initiative Projects In Karak

Karak, July 9 (Petra) -- Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the committee to follow up on implementation of His Majesty the King's initiatives, Tuesday inaugurated Al Qasr Park in Shihan in ??Karak Governorate, and inspected other Royal Initiative projects in the southern region.
Issawi, in the presence of Zaha Cultural Centers CEO Rania Sobeih, toured the facilities of the park, which was rehabilitated as part of the initiatives in cooperation with the Zaha center.
The rehabilitation work included a multi-purpose sports field of badminton, volleyball, basketball, and tennis, and installation of canopies, paths and health facilities as an outlet for local people and those neighboring areas.
The park was also provided with sand and rubber play units for children of the highest specifications, taking into account internationally approved public safety standards.
The renovation of the park is one of dozens of similar projects that were launched under royal directives across the Kingdom's governorates to include training centers for the local community, and branches of institutions that care for children in order to reach the talented and hone their creativity and abilities.
In Al Mujib, the Royal Court Chief, accompanied by Labor Minister Nadia Rawabdeh and Karak Governor Firas Abul Ghanam, toured a garments factory under construction of El Zay Ready Wear Manufacturing Co., part of the Branches and Production Units Initiative, which will create 220 job opportunities for local people upon its completion early next year.
The factory is one of 14 new job-generating production facilities launched under royal directives across various regions of the Kingdom, bringing to 30 the total of branches and production units since the launch of the initiative in 2008.
Issawi also checked on an agricultural proeject in Al-Wadi Al-Abyad in Qatraneh District.
He told reporters that King Abdullah places sustainable development, in its economic and social tracks, as a top priority for all governorates to improve living standards and services as well as employment opportunities, especially for young people.
