5.4-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Japan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 4. An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred in central Japan, the National Meteorological Service of the country says, Trend reports.

According to information, the epicenter of the earthquake was in Chiba Prefecture, neighboring Tokyo, at a depth of 50 kilometers.

No casualties or damage were reported after the earthquake, and no tsunami threat was declared.
