(MENAFN) ADNOC Drilling, a subsidiary of UAE's state oil company ADNOC, has been awarded a significant contract valued at AED 2.7 billion (USD735 million) to provide and operate three rigs in support of ADNOC's offshore expansion efforts in the Zakum offshore field. This announcement was made in a statement released on Wednesday.

Abdulrahman Al Sayari, CEO of ADNOC Drilling, expressed his satisfaction with the contract award, highlighting its strategic importance in advancing the company's growth trajectory. He emphasized the significance of deploying state-of-the-art rigs equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, marking a milestone in technological advancements within the drilling industry.

Al Sayari further underscored the collaboration with Honghua Group, a renowned specialist in rig design and construction. This partnership is expected to drive operational efficiencies, enhance safety standards, and deliver exceptional value to ADNOC Offshore, the operational arm of ADNOC responsible for offshore activities.
