COPA America.. Colombia Beats Paraguay, Brazil, Costa Rica's Match Scoreless

KUWAIT, June 25 (KUNA) -- In a new round of matches for the 2024 COPA America, held in the US, Colombia defeated Paraguay by 2-1, while Brazil and Costa Rica ended their encounter scoreless. In the first game played in Houston's NRG Stadium, Colombia scored twice in the 32nd and 42nd minutes through Daniel Munoz and Jefferson Lerma respectively, while Paraguay's sole goal came through Julio Enciso at the 69th minute of the match. In the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, Brazil and Costa Rica failed to score any goals with the Selecao Canarinho (Canary Squad) unable to penetrate the solid Costa Rican defense. The results put Colombia at the top of Group D with three points, Brazil and Costa Rica are second and third, while Paraguay came last with zero points.
